Maren Morris, Jason Isbell headline Railbird 2020 at Keeneland in Lexington

The lineup this year for Railbird, Lexington’s fledgling music festival, includes Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit and, Maren Morris, who will headline the two-day event.

Other artists include Colter Wall, The Decemberists, Trampled by Turtles, Tanya Tucker and Young the Giant.

This year is the Railbird Festival’s second. It is scheduled for Aug. 22-23 on the grounds at Keeneland, and includes more than 30 musicians on three stages. The acts were announced Wednesday.

More than 30,000 concertgoers attended last year’s inaugural event, which hosted such artists as Tyler Childers, Brandi Carlile, Hozier and The Raconteurs.

Full-price tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21. General admission for the weekend starts at $135, and a limited number of student general admission tickets start at $115.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit nonprofit community partners the Fayette Alliance, Central Kentucky Riding for Hope and the Central Music Academy.

Last year’s inaugural Railbird Festival was hailed by Rolling Stone, visitors and locals alike. This year’s Railbird will again include The Rickhouse bourbon experience with barrels selected by Justin Sloan and Justin Thompson of Lexington’s Justins’ House of Bourbon. Private bourbon selections will include Four Roses Single Barrel, 1792 Full Proof, Blanton’s, Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig Small Batch, Old Pepper Distillery Single Barrel Rye, Old Carter Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Old Forester Single Barrel and Pinkhook True Single Barrel.

Kentucky chefs Ouita Michel, Cole Arimes, Travis Milton, Jeremy Ashby, Samantha Fore and Kristin M. Smith also will lead culinary demonstrations.

Simulcast wagering from Del Mar and Saratoga will be available with Keeneland’s BETologists on hand to help. For kids, there will be a Fillies and Colts family area with arts and crafts, a kid-friendly stage and more.
