Sold-out KY flood benefit concert featuring country music stars will be livestreamed
People who weren’t able to get tickets to the sold out “Kentucky Rising” concert featuring Chris Stapleton, Dwight Yoakam and Tyler Childers will now be able to watch the show from their home.
Veeps, an online concert streaming service, will livestream the concert. Tickets for the livestream are selling for $19.99. The show is set to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday and will take place at Rupp Arena. Tickets for the livestream are available on Veeps’ website.
Tickets sold out quickly after being released on Sept. 16. Some tickets were available on Ticketmaster Tuesday morning, though the lowest price was nearly $300.
The concert was created to benefit flood recovery efforts in Eastern Kentucky. All of the net proceeds from the show will be donated to the “Kentucky Rising Fund.” The fund “will strategically support both immediate needs and long-term recovery projects as they emerge,” according to the concert’s website.
Stapleton and Childers previously helped flood victims directly in the aftermath of the catastrophic events, which left dozens of people dead and many others with severe property loss or property damage. Stapleton also previously performed in Lexington during the “Concert for Kentucky” show at Kroger Field this spring.
Doors open for the Tuesday show at 5:30 p.m., according to the concert’s website.
