Lexington’s hometown music festival, Railbird, announced on Tuesday that a hometown star will headline the event in 2024.
Chris Stapleton, who was born in Lexington but raised in Staffordsville, will headline the second night of the festival, which will be June 1-2 at The Infield at Red Mile.
Noah Kahan and Turnpike Troubadours will be the headline act on Saturday, June 1, with Stapleton and Hozier on Sunday, June 2.
More than 30 artists will play shows across three stages including Counting Crows, Lord Huron, Wynonna Judd, Dwight Yoakam and Elle King.

The two-day music festival moved to The Red Mile in 2023 after starting at Keeneland, where the 2022 festival was marred by excessive heat and long lines for water.
It’s the second year in a row a Kentucky musician will close out the festival: In 2022, Tyler Childers was the final concert for the music festival.
