Here is a Lexington list and guide of the best weekend events around Central Kentucky on Friday, Saturday and Sunday if you are bored and need things to do from live music concerts, comedy shows, beer cheese and arts festivals to dinosaurs, Bluegrass Fair and street parties.

Jurassic Quest at the Central Bank Center

Jurassic Quest, the nation’s biggest dinosaur experience, will bring “live” dinosaur shows, interactive science and art activities, bounce houses, photo opportunities, and more to the Central Bank Center from June 10-12. The Quest will be open on June 10 and 11 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and June 12 form 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tickets start at $19. 430 W Vine St. JurassicQuest.com.

Grand Night for Singing

The University of Kentucky Opera Theatre show tune concert returns with shows 8 p.m. June 10, 2 and 8 p.m. June 11, 6 p.m. June 12; 8 p.m. June 17, 2 and 8 p.m. June 18, 2 p.m. June 19. Bluegrass Fair

The Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair brings rides, games, food and attractions (including pig racing!) to the fairgrounds at Masterson Station Park, June 9-19. Southland Street Fair

The annual event celebrates Southland Corridor businesses and culture with food vendors, live music and family-friendly entertainment. 3-8 p.m. June 11, Southland Drive. Free.

Friday Flicks at Jacobson Park

Family-friendly outdoor film series on June 10 features “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.” Activities start at 7 p.m., movie starts at dark. Food available for purchase. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. 4001 Athens-Boonesboro Rd. Free

Northside Nights at Castlewood Park

Outdoor concert series every other Friday through Sept. 2. June 10 concert by Positive Movement begins 6:30 p.m. 201 Castlewood Dr. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Free

Shaker Village Music on the Lawn

Shaker Village will present live music outdoors, with food and specialty cocktails available, on Fridays and Saturday through October, 6:30-9:30 p.m. June 10: Josh Mitcham; June 11: Chris Weiss. Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, 3501 Lexington Road in Harrodsburg.

KET Summer Celebration

The annual major fundraiser for KET takes place June 11 at Donamire Farm with live music, dinner, open bar, silent auction and more. This year’s gala is High Seas themed and costumes are encouraged. ‘Gas Food Lodging’ at Farish Theatre

In anticipation of Allison Anders’ participation in this year’s Harry Dean Stanton Fest, see her early work. “Gas Food Lodging” will be screened 2 p.m. June 12 inside the Lexington Public Library. 140 E. Main St. Free

Laurel Cove Music Festival in Pineville

Charles Wesley Godwin, Sierra Ferrell, Kelsey Waldon, John R. Miller, Nicholas Jamerson, Cole Chaney and some of the other top musicians from the region will perform during the Laurel Cove Music Festival at the Laurel Cove Amphitheater inside Pine Mountain State Resort Park in Pineville on June 10 and 11. Lauren Mink Concert in Winchester

Winchester’s Beer Cheese Festival weekend activities kick off with a “Rock The Block” concert from Lauren Mink in front of the city’s courthouse on June 10 at 7 p.m. The event is free to attend. 34 S Main St, Winchester. Facebook.com.

Ryan Hamilton at Comedy Off Broadway

North Lime Donut Dash 3K at Wellington Park

Beer Cheese Festival in Winchester

Winchester’s 12th annual Beer Cheese Festival will once again celebrate everything about the tasty local treat on the town’s Main Street on June 11 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Activities include live music, a beer garden, an amateur beer cheese making competition, vendor’s and lots and lots of beer cheese sampling. Francisco’s Farm Art Fair in Midway

The Francisco’s Farm Art Fair will take place in downtown Midway on June 11 and 12 with over 75 local and regional artists, activities for children, live music, food vendors and more. The event is free to attend. Main St, Midway. FranciscosFarm.org.

NestFest Benefit Concert at Equus Run Vineyards

The Nest – Center for Women, Children & Families will present the first annual NestFest benefit concert at Equus Run Vineyards in Midway on June 11 from 6-10 p.m. with music from the Jackson Alley Cats, Ray’s Music Exchange and The Sensations. Jefferson Starship Concert in Frankfort

Hartland Tour of Homes

The first Hartland Tour of Homes will take place on June 12 from 12-5 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the O’Brien family, a Hartland family whose son, Britt O’Brien, sustained a severe spinal injury last summer.
