‘Fiddler On The Roof’

Tony award-winning musical “Fiddler On The Roof” comes to the Lexington Opera House for multiple showings from Feb. 6-9. This weekend’s performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 6-7, 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 8, and 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 9. Country Boy Anniversary

Country Boy Brewing will kick off its eight year anniversary with special beer releases, tappings, merchandise, video games and more at its Lexington taproom from Feb. 7-9. Activities begin at 5 p.m. on Feb. 7 with an eighth anniversary barrel-aged Imperial Stout release before continuing Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. with releases of a bourbon barrel-aged Nate’s Coffee Stout and Witness the Citrus NEIPA. Events resume on Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. with draft releases of a bourbon barrel-aged Jalapeno Smoked Porter, a bourbon barrel-aged Wee Heavy and Double Barrel Shotgun Wedding along with retro games from KY Rolling Video Games. ‘Selma The Musical’

The live theater production “Selma The Musical: The Untold Stories” chronicling the lives of the forgotten figures of Selma, Alabama, will host multiple performances from Feb. 7-9 at the Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center. ‘Fences’

AthensWest Theatre Co. will present August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Fences” beginning Feb. 7 and running through Feb. 23 at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center. The play tells the story of Troy, whose dreams of playing professional baseball were halted by the racist politics of his time, leading him to be wary of his son’s dreams of playing football. Bull riding, barrel racing and top-shelf music will collide when Bulls, Bands & Barrels returns to the Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena at 7 p.m. on Feb. 8. Bob Marley Tribute

W00tstout Fundraiser

Fark.com founder Drew Curtis and Chase Tap Room & Brewing Co. are hosting a fundraiser to fight cancer, specifically by raising the $3,500 for Curtis to participate in the Empire State Ride for cancer research. Curtis, along with Stone Brewing co-founder Greg Koch, will be selling several variations of the geek-themed W00tstout beer collaboration they created with “Star Trek” and “Big Bang Theory” actor Wil Wheaton. If you love Jewish food, get to Temple Adath Israel on Feb. 9 for their Jewish deli pop-up, TAI on Rye. Midway’s shops and restaurants will roll out the chocolate carpet from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 8.
