New Shamrock opening in Brannon Crossing: 31 TVs, 32 beer taps & live music on weekends
Irish-loving eyes will be smiling in South Lexington and Nicholasville: The new location of Shamrock Bar & Grille opens June 3.
The Irish-themed sports bar closed its Hartland Parkway location on May 20 to move to Brannon Crossing.
Now the new Shamrock is opening at 285 Lancer Drive in the Nicholasville shopping center, just south of the Fayette County line.
The bar and restaurant is known for its Irish food such as Shepherd’s Pie, Irish Pot Roast and Fish & Chips, as well as sports-themed pub food including burgers named for famous athletes.
The new Shamrock is larger and will have a covered patio, a stage for live music on Fridays and Saturdays, 31 televisions and 32 beers on tap, according to owner Heather Trump, who also has the Shamrock on Patchen Drive and The Cellar Bar & Grille on Lansdowne Drive.
The bar is moving to a growing area, where Publix is expected to open in coming years, and Wawa is expected to break ground June 5 on its first Central Kentucky store.
It will be open for lunch and dinner daily with the same menu.
