New downtown Lexington bar is totally bringing back the sounds and feelings of the ’80s
A new upscale, ‘80s-themed bar is opening in downtown Lexington that promises to bring back the decadence of the MTV era.
Radio Star Lounge is opening March 21 at 123 West Main Street in the former location of the Stings Lounge. It’s located across the street from the Residence Inn and Marriott at City Center in a historic building that was built in 1925 as the Phoenix Bank.
The lounge features a hot pink bar, neon lights, dark purple walls accented with artwork such as 1980s icons Max Headroom, retro arcade video games and a drink menu that would make the Brat Pack jealous.
The club’s signature cocktail drink, the Radio Star Disco Punch is served in a take-home disco ball cup. The mixed drink of rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice and cream of coconut is $17 and can be refilled for $13.
Three disco balls anchor the time capsule dance club atmosphere. Private event space is available
