New restaurant coming to old Frisch’s Big Boy location in Richmond
After a year, the former Frisch’s Big Boy in Richmond is going to reopen as a new restaurant.
According to NAI Isaac, the property at 136 North Keeneland Dr. in Richmond has been leased.
El Charro Texano Mexican Restaurant will be coming to the location. The new restaurant is scheduled to open in early December.
El Charro Texano will be a bar and grill and will offer Tex-Mex tacos and tapas, according to a release.
It will offer dine in, carry-out, and drive-thru pick-up, according to NAI Isaac. This restaurant is not affiliated with the El Charro on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington.
The popular Frisch’s Big Boy location closed in August 2019, according to the Richmond Register. There are still two Frisch’s locations in Lexington: One in Hamburg and one on Harrodsburg Road.
