The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 — and here we are again.
According to Butterball.com’s Thanksgiving Outlook Report for 2025, 89% of us plan to celebrate Thanksgiving this year.
Turkey still reigns supreme as the favorite part of the meal (47%), followed by stuffing (41%), pie (29%), and potatoes (white potatoes and sweet potatoes tied at 26%.) No surprise, as leftover turkey is popular for sandwiches, salads, soups and more for several days afterward.
But does the thought of hosting a successful Thanksgiving get-together with family and friends send you hiding under the kitchen table?
Do not panic. If you suffer from Gratiarophobia (the fear of Thanksgiving), we have compiled an extensive roundup of where to go to let someone else cook, and also where to find mouth-watering turkeys, hams, side dishes, desserts, and much more. There are definitely lots of enticing options.
