Got holiday party plans but stressing about what to serve?
There’s a new quick-solution option in Lexington that will help with the holiday entertaining season.
Graze Craze, a fast-growing chain that offers customized charcuterie boards, has opened in the Todds Center, just off Man o’ War Boulevard, near Hamburg.
It’s the first Lexington location — the other Kentucky store opened in April in Louisville — of what Graze Craze says is its elevated take on the popular charcuterie dining style. That includes customizable grazing boards, meat-and-cheese classics, vegetarian, diet-focused, dessert trays and more for small parties or large business gatherings.
After the Dec. 11 grand opening, franchisee Stacy Starnes hopes to open a second location on Lexington’s Northside within a year. The company has been capitalizing on the popular trend of charcuterie boards — since the company’s launch in 2021, Graze Craze has expanded to more than 100 locations across the U.S., Canada, France and Australia.
What makes Graze Craze different from other charcuterie stores?
Starnes says what sets Graze Craze apart from other charcuterie places is it’s a chain retail shop with a commercial kitchen.
“We also are part of a larger network, so I can get better pricing on my meats and things,” said Starnes. “That’s the beauty of having other stores in a network. Our buying power is stronger.”
That savings are passed on to the customer, said Starnes.
“One of my friends went and did the shopping for what’s on the large board, and we sell it for $165,” said Starnes. “Just buying the items, it was $200. And that’s not prep, that’s not, what are you going to have to throw away? So, that was one of the things that attracted me to this franchise, is the prices. I’m like, ‘That’s amazing to be able to get that quality of a board for that price.’”
What’s on the menu at Graze Craze?
Starnes says they use Boar’s Head for meats and cheeses, all of which are sliced in house. Many pieces for the boards are made in-house, such as breads, cookies, dips and jellies.
The charcuterie board menu at Graze Craze has a variety of trays, but Starnes says the Wine Pairing Board and the Gone Grazey have been the standouts so far.
“That’s just the classic. It’s a little bit of everything,” said Starnes of the Gone Grazey.
A Sweet & Grazey dessert platter has gourmet chocolate and baked goods, while The Vegegrazian and Grazey for Keto offer lighter options for dietary-focused grazers.
The menu also includes boards tailored toward seasons and holidays, and game day trays are available.
How much are the charcuterie boards at Graze Craze?
Boards are made fresh to order, available for in-store pickup or local delivery, and are available in seven different sizes. Large boards are $165 and can feed up to 20 people, while a grab and go snack size for one Char-Cutie-Cup is $8.
The smallest board is a Grab & Graze, which costs $12.
You can order online or over the phone, but Starnes says walk-ins are also welcomed. It will take 45 minutes to make a large board if you walk in.
“We try to make everything as fresh as possible, because you’re customizing a board, so people can walk in, and if they’re willing to wait 15 minutes, I can put them together pretty quickly, depending on the size,” said Starnes.
