Win $500 if you can tell Lexington dining district when the snow will melt

A popular Lexington dining district is having some fun with its pile of snow while they wait for it to melt.

Lexington’s Warehouse Block, a Lexington retail and dining neighborhood on Walton and National avenues near Winchester Road, is having a guessing competition to see when its biggest remaining snow mound will melt away.

Guess right, and you could win a $500-plus prize package featuring items from Warehouse Block restaurants including Blue Door, Wild Lab Bakery, Rolling Oven and more.

The giant mound of snow and ice, called Mt. Paul by the contests organizers after one of their snow removal employees, is behind La Petite Delicat, 722 National Ave.

All you have to do is go online to the Warehouse Block’s Facebook page and comment with your prediction for the exact date and time you think all the snow and ice from the giant pile will be completely melted.

The contest is allowing only one entry person, and a panel of neighborhood judges will determine the winner when the last bit of snow and ice has finally melted away.

The contest ends when comments on the Facebook post are turned off 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13.

There are some rules for the competition, so be sure to watch the video on the group’s Facebook page.
