Mark’s Feed Store in Lexington to close this weekend after a year in Beaumont
Mark’s Feed Store apparently is closing, after a year in business in the Beaumont shopping center.
Callers to the barbecue restaurant were being told Wednesday that it is closing this weekend. A message to the company’s Louisville office was not immediately answered.
The restaurant opened in late January 2017 at 910 Beaumont Centre Parkway, in a former Applebee’s.
Mark’s Feed Store was started in 1988 in Middletown. In addition to five Louisville restaurants, including one on the University of Louisville campus, Mark’s has one in Elizabethtown and in New Albany, Ind.
The chain had a Lexington restaurant several years ago.
Mark’s Feed Store has been voted one of the “Best of Louisville” nine times by readers of Louisville Magazine for its barbecue and ribs.
