Which Lexington liquor, grocery stores are open late New Year’s Eve? See holiday hours

If it’s New Year’s Eve and you’re putting together a charcuterie board or need a bottle of Champagne, it pays to know the hours at Trader Joe’s and Liquor Barn.

While many stores will not be closed a full day, as they were on Christmas, several will have adjusted holiday hours.

To save you the hassle, we’ve called around and looked up store hours for you. Here’s the list of holiday hours for several popular liquor and grocery stores in Lexington.

Liquor stores

Liquor Barn:

  • Open until 11 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 for New Year’s Eve.
  • Open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Day, Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Total Wine & More:

  • New Year’s Eve has regular hours, open until 10 p.m.
  • Open New Year’s Day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Grocery stores

  • Aldi: Closed New Year’s Day, check the store locator on Aldi’s website.

  • Costco: Open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve. Costco is closed New Year’s Day.

  • Good Foods Co-op: Open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve (regular hours, and open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Day.

  • Kroger: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve, while New Year’s Day hours are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  • Meijer: Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Year’s Eve, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. New Year’s Day.

  • Sam’s Club: Open till 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve, and closed New Year’s Day.

  • Target: New Year’s Eve hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the store will operate regular hours New Year’s Day.

  • Trader Joe’s: Closes at 5 p.m. New Year’s Eve, and is closed New Year’s Day.

  • Walmart: Open for both holidays regular hours, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  • Whole Foods: Open on modified hours, check the Whole Foods store locator.
