Memorial Day 2025: See holiday hours for Lexington Publix, Costco, other stores
Monday marks Memorial Day, a holiday that has its historic roots in decorating the graves of America’s war dead with flowers.
Now, Kentuckians celebrate Memorial Day by gathering with family to enjoy the outdoors, as the long weekend has also come to signal the unofficial start of summer.
If need to run to the grocery store on Memorial Day, whether to pick up some hot dog buns or a bouquet of flowers for a veteran’s grave, it pays to know what your options are. We’ve called around or otherwise confirmed the holiday hours for major grocery and liquor stores in Lexington. Here’s what to know.
