The city’s first Target is opening July 26 after an official grand opening at 3000 Vandalay Drive. It’s part of the new Paddocks of Frankfort, a $150 million, 95-acre retail development off I-64 and U.S. 127 South that also includes a BJ’s Wholesale Club, Wawa, Texas Roadhouse, McAlister’s Deli, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Swig Drinks, Zaxby’s and Long John Silver’s, among others.

The store will feature Target’s Food Forward design, with expanded grocery offerings, a full wine & Spirits shop, EV charging stations and more.

This is the first Target store in this area to feature the new design that has fresh produce, meat and dairy products according to the company.

The store is about 128,000 square feet, and also includes a CVS Pharmacy and a Starbucks Cafe.

It’s expected to employ about 200 and will offer online ordering with Drive Up, Order Pickup and same-day delivery with Target Circle 360.

This is the 15th Target in Kentucky.

Target also is apparently expanding into Georgetown, according to published reports. The company would not confirm the location however, saying in a statement, “We are continually evaluating potential store locations to serve new guests, but I don’t have any new-store news to share in that market at this time.”
