Deserted Lexington: Aerial views show COVID-19’s impact on Bluegrass

There is no doubt the coronavirus outbreak has changed life in Lexington.

Nowhere is that more evident than high above the Bluegrass. Whether it be above what would normally be a packed Fayette Mall parking lot, bumper-to-bumper rush-hour traffic on Nicholasville Road, kids hitting the Jacobson Park playground during spring break or the Lexington Legends getting ready to kick off their baseball season at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, Lexington appears nearly deserted from the sky as COVID-19 continues to cripple the area.

Watch the above video to get a glimpse of places normally busy this time of year, that are now nearly abandoned.
