Updated Lexington takeout dining guide: 200 local businesses you can help support

With all Kentucky bars and restaurants have been closed to dine-in patrons as a coronavirus precaution, you may be wondering, “where can I still get takeout?”

LexGoEat.com is here to help. With the help of VisitLex, which publishes an annual local dining guide called Beyond Grits, we’ve pulled together a list of local places offering take-out, curbside pickup, delivery and delivery via a third party service such as GrubHub, UberEats or DoorDash.

VisitLex will be updating with more restaurants and local businesses to support at VisitLex.com, under Covid-19 Resources.

On LexGoEat’s Facebook group, Lexington Food & Dining News and Sharing, we are encouraging restaurants and food providers to share what information they have. And we want readers to share too: We’re calling it LexGoEat Takeout and asking you to try takeout from someplace you’ve never been. Post your find.

State and local tourism officials are encouraging people to use hashtags like #TeamKentucky and #TogetherKY. And don’t forget the popular #ShareTheLex.

Lexington takeout dining guide

Here’s what more than 190 restaurants, food providers, breweries and more in Lexington are offering for takeout, from cups of coffee and doughnuts to full family meals, grab and go and growlers of beer. Many restaurants have special menus available online or on their Facebook pages.

Because of constant changes during the coronavirus outbreak, be sure to contact businesses to make sure they are still open. And please let us know if a business is missing.

If a local business isn’t listed, then it may have decided to close after Gov. Beshear’s order.
