Friday, the state’s positivity rate (the percentage of positive tests over total tests reported in a seven-day period) dropped below 10% for the first time since Dec. 23.

The same day, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced relaxed mask guidance for areas of the country experiencing low to moderate rates of transmission.
