Winning Powerball ticket worth $200K sold at Central KY retailer this weekend

The Kentucky Lottery announced Tuesday, Jan. 20 a winning Powerball ticket worth $200,000 was sold during the game’s Jan. 17 drawing.

According to a news release from the agency, the ticket sold at Estepp’s Friendly Shell at 4107 Lexington Road in Paris.

Matching four white ball numbers and the Powerball, the ticket’s owner won $50,000. However, because of the Power Play feature, the prize was multiplied by four, bringing the total winnings to $200,000, the lottery said Tuesday.

According to the Kentucky Lottery the winning numbers from Saturday’s drawing were 5, 8, 27, 49, 57 and Powerball 14.

If you’re a winner, the lottery advises signing the back of your ticket and storing it in a secure location. Winners of large prizes must collect them in person at Kentucky Lottery headquarters in downtown Louisville. The address is 1011 West Main St. in Louisville.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.

The Powerball drawings Jan. 17 and Jan. 19 produced no jackpot winner. The next drawing is slated for Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 10:59 p.m. EST. It features an estimated jackpot of $209 million.
