The owner of a winning lottery ticket sold in Lexington for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing has yet to step forward and claim their $1 million, the Kentucky Lottery said Thursday morning.

The ticket for the drawing was sold at the Crossroads IGA at 2656 Abigail Way in Lexington, according to an update Thursday afternoon. As a reward, the store will get a $10,000 bonus.

“We’re looking forward to greeting Kentucky’s newest millionaire,” state lottery President and CEO Mary Harville said the first release.

The winning numbers from the Aug. 31 drawing are 7, 8, 19, 24, 28 and a Powerball of 1.

The ticket sold matched all five white ball numbers, but not the Powerball, which would’ve netted that winner $134 million. The winner with this ticket will instead receive the game’s second prize of $1 million.

The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure location. They have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

You must claim the prize in person at the lottery’s headquarters in Louisville.

If you bought the winning ticket, contact the lottery’s claims office at 800-937-8946 to make arrangements to claim their prize, the Kentucky Lottery said.

Two other $1 million tickets have been sold in the state this summer, one to an Estill County woman and another to a northern Kentucky man. Both those winners remain anonymous.
