Motorcyclist in Lexington critically injured after crash, UK police say
A motorcyclist is in critical condition after being involved in a crash on the University of Kentucky campus, according to UK Police Chief Joe Monroe.
The accident happened around 8:35 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Alumni Drive and Tates Creek Road, Monroe said. It involved a motorcycle and a vehicle and the motorcyclist was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Monroe said.
It’s unknown if the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet during the crash.
This was the second serious accident to happen involving a motorcycle in Lexington in two days. On Monday evening a motorcyclist was killed after being involved in an accident on Versailles Road. Police said 25-year-old Dylan George, who died in the crash, was not wearing a helmet during the collision.
