Will Lexington Target, Kroger, other grocery stores be open on Fourth of July? See hours

Independence Day is just around the corner, and with it comes an abundance of festivities and foods to enjoy.

If you find yourself in need of some last-minute supplies, there are several Central Kentucky grocery chains that will be open for the holiday Tuesday.

Here is a list of major grocery chains that will be open in Lexington this Fourth of July, along with pharmacy hours were applicable.

Fourth of July grocery store hours in Lexington

Kroger

Kroger stores will be open regular operating hours, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., but hours may vary by location. Check the Kroger closest to you by using the store locator.

The pharmacy will be closed for the holiday.

Walmart

Walmart locations will be open nationwide July 4. Hours may vary by store location, but they are typically open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Pharmacy hours may be limited at different locations. Check your closest location using Walmart’s online store locator.

Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s, at 2326 Nicholasville Road in Lexington, will be be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closing four hours earlier than normal Tuesday.

The wine shop will also close at 5 p.m.

Aldi

Aldi locations will have limited hours on Independence Day, according to the company website.

Lexington locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods, located at 4059 Finn Way, will be open normal hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Target

Target will also be open Tuesday, and Lexington locations will operate with normal hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Meijer

All Meijer locations will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight on Independence Day, but pharmacy hours vary.

The Meijer pharmacy at 351 Meijer Way will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the location at 2155 Paul Jones Way will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Good Foods Co-op

Good Foods Co-op, located at 455 Southland Drive, will be open normal hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
