Police trying to locate two men charged with murder in Lexington shooting

Lexington police are trying to locate two men charged with murder in a Sept. 8 homicide.

The men are Brian Marquez Chavez, 21, and Kevin Marquez Chavez, 18.

Police said the two are charged with murder, attempted murder, first-degree wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.

The shooting occurred on Betsy Lane. Police said when they responded to a report of a shooting around 1 a.m., they found a woman with a gunshot wound who was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Authorities identified her as Esmerelda Lizete Rodriguez Perez, 28, of Lexington.

A man was wounded in the shooting but survived.
