One person dead, another injured in single-vehicle crash that closed Lexington road
One person died and another was seriously injured in a Wednesday morning wreck on Winchester Road, according to the Lexington Police Department.
The crash happened around 7:40 a.m. on Winchester Road between Bahama Road and Man o’ War Boulevard. Police said it was a single-vehicle collision, and two occupants were in the car.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Dominga Gonzalez, 30, of Lexington.
The other occupant was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Winchester Road was shut down in both directions between Bahama Road and Man o’ War Boulevard while police investigated the collision. The road has since reopened.
