A home in Masterson Station was completely destroyed by fire late Thursday night, though no one was injured.
The fire started around 11:35 p.m. Jan. 1 at 277 Meadow Valley Road. The Lexington Fire Department said the house was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
The residents were not home when the fire broke out.

A neighboring home next to a house that caught on fire Meadow Valley Road Jan. 1, 2026, suffered siding damage. Chris Leach cleach@herald-leader.com
The home is a total loss, according to the fire department. In addition, the homes on either side suffered minor damage to siding.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation as of Friday morning.
