One person dead, another injured in crash along Jacks Creek Pike in Lexington

One person is dead following a two-vehicle collision on a busy Lexington back road near the Jessamine County line.

Late Sunday morning around 11:15 a.m., Lexington Police Department officers responded to the intersection of Jacks Creek Pike and Shelby Lane for a wreck.

One driver, who has not been identified as of Monday morning, died on scene, according to police. The other driver was transported to a local hospital with “serious, non-life threatening” injuries.

The police department’s collision reconstruction unit is investigating.
