A two-person prop plane made an emergency landing Thursday afternoon near Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. No one was injured.
Around 2:40 p.m. Thursday, a small aircraft with two passengers landed in a field near the airport along Man o’ War Boulevard and Versailles Road.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the pilot needed to make an emergency landing.
As a result, the airport temporary closed its runway, and four flights were delayed, according to Blue Grass Airport spokesperson Lauren Simmerman.
As of 3:45 p.m. Thursday, the airport is operational.
