Coroner: Man’s death was not a homicide; ruptured cyst appeared to be gunshot wound
The death of a man found in a moving van on Alexandria Drive was not a homicide, according to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
Barry Slaven, 33, of Harrodsburg was found on Alexandria Drive near Calumet Farm., Slaven’s death was originally considered a homicide, but what appeared to be a gunshot wound was a cyst that ruptured and hemorrhaged, according to Coroner Gary Ginn.
The cause of death is pending, Ginn said. Toxicology results will not be available for four to six weeks.
