Lexington police investigate second overnight shooting this week
A second person in as many days has been shot overnight in Lexington this week.
Police were called to Saint Joseph East Hospital, where a man was being treated for a gunshot wound, about 12:17 a.m. Tuesday, police Lt. Jeremy Tuttle said.
Tuttle said the victim and a passenger in his car met someone at the Park Hills Shopping Center on Pimilico Parkway off Man o’ War Boulevard when “some kind of disagreement” happened, and the man was shot in the leg. The wound was not life-threatening, he said.
Police have a limited description of the male shooter.
Tuttle said anyone with information can contact police. He saidthe victim probably knows the person who shot him.
“If they arranged the meeting, they know who he is,” Lt. Jeremy Tuttle said.
The shooting followed one early Monday morning, when a man suffered a non-lethal injury. The man, who was found on the 300 block of Oak Street, refused to talk to police about the shooting.
