Fatal collision near Scott County Toyota plant closes busy road
One person is dead after a collision in front of Georgetown’s Toyota plant Friday morning.
Cherry Blossom Way from Delaplain Road to the Toyota gate 2 intersection was closed both ways because of the collision, which happened shortly before 7 a.m. Friday, Georgetown police said.
The crash involved a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck, according to WKYT.
LEX 18 reported the driver of the pickup truck died and the driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital.
There is no estimate for when the road will reopen.
