Updated: Coroner identifies man killed in Central Kentucky motorcycle crash
A motorcycle crash in Georgetown Tuesday night killed one person and severely injured another, according to police and the Fayette County coroner’s office.
Bradford Short, a 51-year-old Cynthiana resident, was riding the motorcycle and was killed, according to the coroner’s office.
The motorcycle crashed into a vehicle in the area of Cherry Blossom Way and Osborne Drive around 9:30 p.m. Lt. Jason Bruner said. Short and a woman on the motorcycle were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, according to Bruner and the coroner’s office. Short was pronounced dead around 10:45 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.
The driver of the vehicle did not need medical attention, Bruner said.
Police had a collision reconstruction unit on scene to investigate the crash, Bruner said. The roadway was closed for about four hours, according to a Facebook post from the police department.
