Scott County Schools closes in-person learning after overnight storm damage

Scott County Schools will use its first NTI day of the school year Monday after an overnight storm caused damage in parts of the area, according to a Facebook post on Scott County Schools’ Facebook page.

Multiple people in the county are without power as a result of many power lines and electric poles being down, according to Scott County Schools. The Scott County Fire Department is reporting several roads in the Stamping Ground area are impassable due to storm and wind damage.

LEX18 is reporting two people were hurt in the Stamping Ground area, where two mobile homes overturned as a result of the storm.

NTI content for Scott County students can be found here. For now, after school activities are not canceled.
