Scott bus driver's death ruled a homicide

Officials have ruled the death of a former Scott County bus driver a homicide.

Scott County Coroner John Goble said that the preliminary results of an autopsy performed Friday on Glenda Sue Jones indicates that she was killed.

Jones, 68, was found about 10 a.m. Thursday at her house on Double Culvert Road in Sadieville. According to Goble, Jones had a son who lived with her, but he wasn't present when she died.

Jones had three children and drove a bus for Scott County schools for more than twenty years before retiring two years ago, the coroner said.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Johnson's Funeral Home in Georgetown.
