Teen wanted in Lexington gang-related double homicide turns himself in, police say
A Lexington double-murder suspect turned himself in at the Fayette County Detention Center Monday, police said.
Kenneth Jacoby Jackson, 18, was wanted for two murders that occurred at busy Winchester Road and East Seventh Street last fall. He’s been charged with two counts of murder, assault, tampering with physical evidence and wanton endangerment.
He’s the fourth person to be charged in the case. John Boulder, 21, and De’Shaun Armor, 20, were taken into custody in January. A juvenile was also charged with two counts of murder and counts of first-degree assault, wanton endangerment and tampering with evidence, according to police.
Dwayne Slaughter and Darrian Webb, both 18, were both shot and killed Oct. 19, police said. A detective said in court that the shooting was over derogatory comments made about gang members. The shooting happened in broad daylight when the suspects pulled up next to the victims’ car in a dark SUV and opened fire, police said.
A third victim was shot in the back but survived, police said.
