A Kentucky teen who had been missing for a week was found dead Saturday night in Harrison County.

The body of Ali Haider Naqvi, 16, of Nicholasville, was found in the 1400 block of Russell Cave Road in Harrison County, a rural area about 20 miles northeast of downtown Lexington, according to police.

Ali and another teen, Aoun Ismail Basboos, 15, were reported missing May 11. Police are still searching for Aoun, and they’ve said he is in immediate danger.

A reward is being offered for information on the whereabouts of Aoun Ismail Basboos, 15, and Ali Haider Naqvi, 16.

The teens were last seen were last seen getting into the back seat of the car “just after a shots-fired incident in the 3300 block of Spangler Drive.”

The car then left Lexington ”and traveled into surrounding counties in Central Kentucky,” police said.

Two people have been charged with evidence tampering in the case, but police have not released further information about how the shots fired incident was related to the teens’ disappearance.

Jesus Eduardo Reyes-Rodriguez, 47, and a 17-year-old have been charged with tampering with physical evidence in connection with a vehicle the boys were last seen getting into, the Lexington Police Department said last week.

The car, a white 2020 Acura ILX, was found Thursday at Loradale Market, in the 6800 block of Russell Cave Road, about 6 1/2 miles south of where Ali’s body was found Saturday.
