Man found dead inside his home with stab wounds, Lexington police say

A 60-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside his home in Lexington Thursday afternoon, according to the Lexington Police Department.

The man’s home is located in the 1600 block of Maywick View Lane, according to Lexington police. Officers were dispatched to the home around 1:10 p.m., and when they arrived, they found the man with stab wounds.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Walter Barnes Jr., of Lexington. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
