Man charged with murder after Lexington police find woman dead inside home
The Lexington Police Department has arrested a 43-year-old man they say stabbed a woman to death inside a home off Larkin Road Thursday.
Police said they were dispatched to a home in the 2500 block of Larkin Road around 10:45 a.m. Jan. 15, according to a news release. When they arrived, they found the woman dead inside.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the woman Friday morning as Anisleys Lantaron, 29. She was pronounced dead at 11:20 a.m. from stab wounds.
Lantaron was found wrapped in blankets “in a manner that would outrage ordinary family sensibilities,” court documents say. The suspect, Roberto Buffill-Paredes, 43, allegedly cleaned the scene after killing Lantaron.
Buffill-Paredes was arrested at the scene and charged with murder (domestic violence), abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence, police said. Lantaron was Buffill-Paredes girlfriend and the mother of his child, court documents say.
He is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center on a $1 million bond and scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette District Court Friday.
There has been only one other homicide in Lexington this year. It happened Jan. 1 in a parking lot on South Broadway and left two men dead.
