Suspect in Lexington strip club homicide is being held in Indiana
A man jailed in Indiana has been charged in a fatal shooting last month at a Lexington strip club.
Tevin Wright was arrested Friday in Muncie, Ind., on a warrant filed Wednesday by Lexington police, officers said.
Wright was being held in Muncie on unrelated charges, according to a Lexington police news release.
Wright is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in Lexington, police said.
The charges stem from the shooting death of Curtis Simmons, 33, who died Nov. 13 from multiple gunshot wounds outside the Divas Gentlemen's Club on Russell Cave Road.
The shooting occurred after an altercation inside the club that continued in the parking lot after the club closed, police said.
Police initially said that five men fled in a car with Florida license plates after the shooting.
