A woman who had been shot twice was found Saturday morning on the porch of a north Lexington house, police said.
The woman, who is about 25 years old, was found outside a house in the 1900 block of Millbank Road, said Lexington police Sgt. Franklin Patrick. Millbank Road is in Brookfield Chase subdivision off Russell Cave Road.
Police did not know the woman’s identity, Patrick said. She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with life-threatening injuries from the two gunshot wounds, Patrick said.
The woman may have been shot in nearby Martin Luther King Park and made her way to the Millbank Road house, Patrick said.

“She may have been on the porch for some time,” Patrick said.
Police were dispatched to the scene at 7:12 a.m. Saturday.
Larone Smith, who arrived at the Millbank Road scene, said his daughter called police.
“She called me this morning saying she heard somebody outside of the house hollering, and she thought it was kids in the bedroom,” Smith said. “She went in the bedroom and it wasn’t the kids. She heard them outside the house.”
Smith said his daughter did not know the woman on the porch.
