A man who escaped from a Lexington prison last year was arrested Saturday in Florida.

James Dennis escaped from the Blackburn Correctional Complex in April 2015, the complex’s officials said. Dennis was serving a 13-year sentence after being convicted in Union County on charges including making methamphetamine. Officials said he would have been eligible for parole in November 2015.

Police arrested Dennis in Marion County, Florida.

Another inmate, Kelly Conway, escaped from Blackburn the same night Dennis did. Police in Galveston, Texas, arrested Conway in August 2015.
