For first time in days, Fayette middle and high schools will have night activities

For the first time in nine days, Fayette County Public Schools is allowing scheduled activities at middle and high schools to occur Thursday afternoon and evening.

Thursday, Feb. 5, was the district’s eighth snow day, with classes canceled because of continued unsafe conditions on bus routes, district officials said.

FCPS used four consecutive nontraditional instruction days, from Jan. 26-29, before having four straight traditional snow days Feb. 2-5.

Only March 20 has been confirmed as a make-up day for students. Other potential make-up dates are noted in our instructional calendar.
