Boy runs away from home after finding child porn on dad’s tablet, Michigan police say

A father in Michigan was arrested after his juvenile son found porn on his tablet on Friday, police said.

Michigan State Police were called to a home in Holly at about 7 p.m. after receiving word that a child had run away, WDIV reported.

When officers tracked down the boy, he told police he’d found “pornographic materials involving children” on his father’s tablet, according to the outlet.

Police with a search warrant found a “large amount” of evidence, including material like what the child had described, according to the Tri-County Times. Officials believe the man has had the material for years.

The boy was placed with family members, WJBK reported.

The father was arrested and child pornography charges are pending, according to the outlet. Because he’s not yet been arraigned, his name has not been released, WJBK reported.
