Beer drinker cracks one open while watching porn on library computer, Ohio cops say

You can do a lot of things at the library; you can check out books, maybe join a club or print some documents.

But as an Ohio man learned last week, one thing you can’t do at the library is drink beer while watching porn, police say.

A library visitor in Sandusky noticed another patron knocking back a cold one while watching porn on a public computer around 7 p.m. Feb. 4, the Sandusky Register reported.

After the person alerted police, an officer found Clarence Stoll, 40, doing just that — drinking a Budweiser while looking at porn, per WOIO. Several more unopened cans of beer were stashed under the computer, WTVG reported.

Police also found several empties, according to WOIO.

When police asked his name, they say Stoll initially gave his brother’s name instead of his own, WTVG reported.

After finally owning up to his identity, Stoll explained that he gave the wrong name because “he did not want it in the paper that he was drinking at the library and watching porn,” according to the Register.

Stoll was banned from the library for 60 days and faces trespassing charges if he shows up in that time frame, WOIO reported. He was also charged with a minor misdemeanor count of having an open container in a public place.
