A lottery player scored a $2 million jackpot prize — but it won’t lead to many changes in her life.

“I’m still working,” the winner told the South Carolina Education Lottery. “Just saving more.”

The woman discovered she hit the jackpot after she reportedly had a “lucky feeling” while playing the lottery. She was in her car when she checked her scratch-off ticket, revealing that her hunch was spot on.

“I was speechless,” the woman told lottery officials in an Oct. 27 news release.

The winner, who wasn’t identified publicly, got richer after she grabbed coffee at an Express convenience store in Greenville. She spent $20 on a ticket for a game called Fastest Road to $2,000,000, officials said.

It turns out, the woman beat odds of 1-in-1.245 million to score the game’s biggest prize. Lottery officials in their news release didn’t reveal how much money she kept after taxes and didn’t immediately share that information with McClatchy News on Oct. 27.

It’s not the first time a lucky South Carolina lottery player planned to stick to their routine. Another winner scored a prize on his way to work — and still went to his job, McClatchy News reported in July.
