‘Explosive views’ captivate from this ‘tennis court estate’ for sale in California

A home with astonishing views and a sleek floor plan has landed on the real estate market high above West Los Angeles — with a staggering price.

Referred to as “a tennis court estate,” the home was designed by Edward Fickett, an architect who designed over 50,000 homes, mostly in Southern California, the Los Angeles Conservancy said. He’s noted for his glass walls and awe-inspiring roof lines.

The listing on Forbes Global Properties call him “the king of the tennis court estates,” a title that is evident when looking at this brilliant five-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate that is the epitome of the word “elegant.”

“The Mid-Century restoration of the ages, a masterpiece born of the finest materials, leading style masters, and most coveted soil on earth,” the listing details.

“With the longest frontage of any house in Trousdale, it offers unobstructed panoramic views from the city to the ocean and as far the eye can see. Set behind gates and lush 100-year old olive trees to provide the ultimate privacy and security. Open floor plan with 18-foot ceilings, exquisite finishes throughout including fluted Venetian plaster walls and rare blanco Travertine floors mixed with herringbone Fench Oak floors.”

The two most notable things about the estate happen to be its “explosive views,” according to a news release, and its “full-size tennis court” with “grandfathered-in tennis court lights, which can never be done again in Trousdale.”

The estate is listed for $48 million.

The listing is held by Branden Williams and Rayni Romito Williams of The Beverly Hills Estate, Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency and Stuart Vetterick of Hilton & Hyland.
