Lucky gambler spends $9 on slot machine and hits jackpot at Las Vegas casino

A Las Vegas resident bet $9 on a slot machine at a Mardi Gras-themed casino and hit the jackpot.

The lucky gambler sat at a Triple Double Cash machine at 7:43 a.m. Aug. 24 at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, the hotel posted Aug. 31 on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He bet $9, hit spin and watched the symbols flash across the screen until he learned he won a big prize.

The man, who often plays at the casino, is now walking away with $19,654, the hotel said.

The Orleans Hotel & Casino is about a 2-mile drive west from the Strip.

It’s styled to resemble the New Orleans’ French Quarter and Mardi Gras.

Another player recently scored a jackpot from a slot machine at the same casino.

The gambler bet 88 cents on a Dancing Drums Prosperity game and won $12,878.27, the hotel said in an Aug. 24 Facebook post.
