A Michigan woman said she couldn’t believe how much she won on a lottery ticket after hitting the jackpot, plus another prize.

The 21-year-old bought a Jumbo Jackpot Slots Fast Cash ticket, an instant-win game, on Sept. 11 in Ann Arbor, according to a Sept. 23 news release from the Michigan Lottery.

“I play Fast Cash every once in a while,” the player, who wished to remain anonymous, told lottery officials. “I was in the mood to play, so I stopped at the store and bought a ticket. When I looked it over and saw I won the jackpot, I didn’t believe it, so I went home and had my parents look the ticket over.”

The woman said she realized she won more than she initially thought.

“At first, we thought I’d just won the jackpot, but then we realized I’d won another $250,000 on top of that. It still feels surreal,” she said.

In total, the woman won $498,607, according to lottery officials.

She said she plans to buy a home with her winnings.

Ann Arbor is a 45-mile drive west from Detroit.
