An out-of-state visitor traveled to a casino near Las Vegas and won a life-changing prize.

Now, the lucky gambler is $516,008 richer.

The player sat at an Invaders of the Planet Moolah slot machine at the Emerald Island Casino in Henderson, the casino said in an Oct. 14 post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The gambler bet $3, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a jackpot message appeared.

“YES, you read that right! Gregory was just visiting from out of state, bet $3 on Invaders of the Planet Moolah, the rest is Emerald Island history,” the casino said in the post.

Another gambler hit a slot machine jackpot at the same casino recently.

The lucky person bet $2.50 on a Jackpot Carnival game and won $22,546.55, the casino said in an Oct. 8 post on X.

Henderson is about a 15-mile drive southeast from Las Vegas.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
