Here’s how to get a free Powerball play from KY Lottery ahead of $1.5B jackpot draw
The jackpot for Saturday night’s Powerball drawing is now worth a whopping $1.5 billion – amounting to the second largest prize in the game’s 30-year history.
To mark the occasion, Kentucky Lottery representatives will be handing out free plays at an event Friday.
The event, which will take place in Frankfort, runs from 10 to 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. It’s happening at the Kroger located at 1309 U.S. Highway 127 South, Frankfort, KY 40601.
According to a Kentucky Lottery news release, participants can start lining up at 10 a.m. with the giveaway beginning at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 4. There’s a limited number of tickets to give away.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is behind only the world record of $1.586 billion set in 2016.
Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. You can watch the drawing at powerball.com.
