Check your pockets! Powerball ticket worth 5 figures recently sold in Western Kentucky
If you recently purchased a Powerball ticket at a Lyon County gas station, you might want to look around for it.
According to a Monday Kentucky Lottery news release, a winning ticket for the Saturday, Oct. 19 drawing — worth $50,000 — was sold at the BP of Kuttawa, located at 29 Days Inn Drive.
The winning numbers for Saturday night’s drawing are 7, 16, 19, 45, 64 and Powerball 25. The winning ticket sold in Lyon County matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball, winning a $50,000 prize.
According to the Kentucky Lottery, winners should sign the back of their tickets, store them in a secure location and claim the prize within 180 days from the date of the drawing.
To claim prizes of this size, winners must do so in person at Kentucky Lottery headquarters in downtown Louisville. It’s located at 1011 West Main St. Winners are advised to first contact the lottery by calling 1-877-789-4532 to set up an appointment.
There was no jackpot winner for Saturday’s Powerball drawing, nor was there one for the drawing Monday night. The next drawing, with an estimated $478 million jackpot on the line, will take place Wednesday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern.
This isn’t the only unclaimed winning ticket recently announced by the Kentucky Lottery. Last week, the agency announced a ticket worth $500,000 was sold in Southeastern Kentucky. That ticket sold at a Pilot Travel Center in Corbin.
